CLARINET FASCINATION
"First-class craftsmanship for a soulful sound"
Since 1936, the name F. Arthur Uebel has been synonymous with the finest in clarinet making. Our clarinets are the perfect companions for musicians at any playing level - from those just starting out on their musical journey to seasoned professionals performing in sold-out concert halls around the world.
At our workshops, valuable traditions of clarinet making are blended with ultra-modern manufacturing processes to create a harmonious symphony of artisanal perfection. This interplay results in clarinets that produce an unmistakable sound, captivating audiences and fellow musicians alike.
We offer clarinets in both the German and French fingering systems, allowing you to choose the perfect model for your individual playing style. Each of our instruments is characterized by comfortable ergonomics, excellent intonation, and the unmistakable beauty of sound - whether it's a beginner clarinet or top-end concert model.
The soul of our clarinets is the wood from which they are made. We use only the finest Grenadilla and Mopane woods for our instruments, and our natural drying process has a significant impact on the unique sound of our clarinets. Our craftsmen are passionate about their work, and every instrument they produce is a true masterpiece.

GERMAN CLARINET
"World Renowned Traditional Sound"
As a clarinet manufacturer rich in tradition, we have been building clarinets in the German fingering system since our inception and have had a decisive influence on the development of German clarinets since then.
Our German clarinets are still made today with refined craftsmanship and a range of models that can accompany you all the way from your first lesson to the greatest of concert stages.
THE DIVERSE CLARINET FAMILY OF F. A. UEBEL
"Our clarinet family has many members"
In addition to our standard clarinet models, we offer a wide range of instruments designed to inspire you. From special children's clarinets to models for musicians with small hands, bass and basset clarinets, and even G clarinets for Turkish music, we have something for everyone. We also build clarinets with covered keys, perfect for elderly players or those who also play the saxophone or flute. Let us help you find your dream clarinet!
Natural dried for a unique sound
Naturally dried woods are the soul of our instruments. In combination with our unique bores, they are the core of the special F. Arthur Uebel sound. In order to achieve this, we completely dispense with artificial drying processes: Grenadilla and Mopane are carefully stored for seven and ten years before we use them to make a new F. Arthur Uebel clarinet.
The result is not only a beautiful sound, but also robust quality that lasts.
Progress from the very beginning
F. Arthur Uebel worked closely with Berlin’s "old master" Oskar Oehler to perfect the production of German clarinets in the Oehler system. Since the foundation of his workshop in 1936, he designed mechanical improvements to the key mechanism, which had a decisive influence on the development of Uebel clarinets. With our ultra-modern manufacturing methods and a wide range of key mechanism variants, we continue to build on this innovative spirit to this very day.
Sophisticated technology for first-class ergonomics
Our clarinets are designed with ergonomics in mind, and this attention to detail is evident in our key design, making even our beginner models more enjoyable to play. We continuously refine our mechanisms to meet the needs of musicians, as demonstrated in our range of special models. These include our clarinet for small hands, our covered-key Superior Plateau model, and our popular children's C clarinet (model 611). With F. Arthur Uebel clarinets, you can trust that every instrument is crafted with precision and care.
